Table Mountain, the signature view in Cape Town, one of the “New Seven Wonders of Nature”, is a flat-topped mountain forming a prominent landmark overlooking the city of Cape Town in South Africa. It is a significant tourist attraction, with many visitors using the cableway or hiking to the top.
Boulders Beach is located a few kilometers to the south of Simon’s Town. These African penguins are only found on the coastlines of Southern Africa - (South Africa & Namibia). These penguins are currently on the verge of extinction. As a result, the penguins are under the protection of the Cape Nature Conservation.
Franschhoek means “French Corner” in Afrikaans, and this small town is just as French as its name, full of romantic French vibe. This heritage is shown today by the Huguenot Monument which stands at the end of the town. The museum nearby chronicles the history of the first settlers, with each of the original Huguenot farms having its own fascinating story to tell.
Hermanus is famous for southern right whale watching during the southern winter and spring. The whales can be seen from the cliffs in the town centre as early as June and usually depart in early December.
Knysna is one of the most popular destination on the Garden Route. The forest, rivers, estuary, and ocean surrounding the town are dotted with hiking trails and plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities. The estuary opens to the ocean after passing between two large headlands, popularly known as “The Heads”. Tourists can enjoy this special scenery by sightseeing boats.
The Tsitsikamma Section of the Garden Route National Park is situated at the heart of the picturesque tourist region known as the Garden Route. Here, visitors will see booming breakers of the Indian Ocean relentlessly pound rocky shores, temperate high forest and Fynbos (indigenous plants) rolling down to the sea in an unspoilt verdant carpet. Age old rivers carve their way to the sea and wonderful marine creatures swim along the shore.
